can hardly be called joseki, because there is no fixed line of play for this sequence.

However of all sequences that have ever been played is a keypoint in most of them and is often played as a first move.

If white plays passive as here, then black can make shape.
When white cuts he can expect a crosscut, which will certainly help black to make shape as well.

One way is to capture the single white stone.


Another way is to sacrifice the cutting stone.
